History of Christian Happenings
Christian Happenings was first published as a print magazine in July 1984, as a local event guide serving Columbus, Ohio. Quickly it expanded to include 18 regional magazines, distributed throughout the United States from Minnesota to Texas to Florida to New Jersey, with a combined annual circulation of approximately 1.5 million copies.
With a determination to stay current and
relevant to today’s Christian,
we launched the Christian Happenings eZine in July of 2007 which quickly
grew to rival and even eclipse the popularity of the print magazine.
Finding the eZine to be the most effective way to fulfill our mission we have transitioned to an all electronic medium.
There are several advantages to the digital option, including that we can publish monthly and ads can be directly linked to web pages and point of purchase pages. More and more of our advertisers are relying on their web pages to convey additional details, some even opting to exclude phone numbers from their ads. The eZine accommodates this trend and will actually make your ad more responsive.
Christian Happenings eZines are distributed monthly to over 250,000 subscribers in 28 regions.
Subscribers can be targeted regionally or nationally according to your needs.
If there’s one shared characteristic of our audience, it’s their desire to be informed about events. A large sub-category would be those that plan for others to attend events, namely church leaders such as youth leaders and within the family, moms and wives.
