Christian Happenings® Magazine provides, as a free service, a
detailed event listing and event calendar. Our listings
feature concerts, seminars, workshops, special services, crusades, revivals,
Christmas celebrations, Easter celebrations, and singles events. Display
advertising is available both in Christian Happenings Magazine and online
at ChristianHappenings.com and iTickets.com.
Christian Happenings began operations in July of 1984, publishing a
regional event guide for Columbus, Ohio. Twenty-two years later, our
initial goal of supporting the promotion of Christian events in Central
Ohio has changed only in scope. Over 338,000 magazines
are now circulated through twenty-two different regional
editions serving thirty states throughout half the
continental United States.
The average Christian Happenings reader can be described as an “active”
Christian, recognizing the value of events, products, and businesses
which directly and indirectly promote the Gospel message. Our readers
actively seek out Christian events and services. They acquire the Christian
Happenings magazine through Christian book/music stores (50%), through
their church or a local ministry (40%), and/or through paid-for subscriptions
(10%).
Through the years various support services have been added in order
to offer an integrated marketing approach. In addition to print and
online advertising, we put forth fax updates, email blasts, direct mail
campaigns, and ticketing.
Christian Happenings operates the box office for the national ticket
web site iTickets.com, the largest independent Christian ticketing solution.
Christian Happenings is responsible for fulfilling and maintaining all
iTickets’ orders. Through our association with iTickets.com we
have serviced well over 5,000 different events throughout the country
with clients such as New Covenant Productions, Concert Services, Sonshine
Festival, Universal Studios, Spirit 105.3 (Seattle, WA), Premier Productions,
Teen Mania (Acquire the Fire), Liberty University, and the Illinois
Christian Teen Convention.
